Creating art is my way of spreading happiness

Hello! I am Patricia Vargas, owner and artist of Parima Creative Studio.

What I believe in:
I believe in living a life as stress free as possible. In surrounding yourself with things that best exemplify beauty to you. In breathing deeply. In laughing abundantly. In spending time with people who are genuine and have good hearts. In bringing your good vibes wherever you go. I believe that art can touch our souls, inspire our lives, and provide us with blissful moments.
Creating art is my way of spreading happiness around the world. That is why all of my pieces are created and packaged with care, and most importantly, love. I use only high quality canvases, paper, and top my originals off with an archival seal that will protect your investment for decades to come.

The Doors are Open:
I am extremely honored that you are considering one (or several!) of my pieces to display as part of your space. My goal is to create paintings and prints that exhibit positivity, vibrance, and will put a smile on your face every time you take a look at it.
If at any point you have any questions about any of my pieces, please do not hesitate to email me. I would be delighted to put your mind at ease and answer any questions you may have.

A little bit about me:
I started painting at a very young age (10 years old). I would often watch my mother create beautiful landscapes while I was growing up, and one day I decided to try my hand at it. I begged my mom to take me to Michael's so that I could buy my first canvas board and inexpensive acrylic paints and brushes. Of course, not really having any sort of idea of how to paint, my first few pieces weren't exactly stellar, but at the time I thought that I had created a masterpiece. I loved painting so much that it quickly became my goto hobby. I slowly but surely started getting better, eventually creating more complex landscapes, like those my mother would paint.

Fast forward 8 years later, and I attended the University of California Santa Barbara and decided to major in Art. During my studies, I fell in love with vibrant colors and particularly enjoyed playing around with various shapes and styles. This led me to start developing the style you see today.

During my years in college, the thought of pursuing art as a career seemed far fetched, and decided to venture into other career paths. However, as the years passed I started to get requests from friends and family to make paintings for their homes and the idea of being a professional painter no longer seemed so radical.

Travel another 6 years forward in time, and I opened the virtual doors of Parima Creative Studio on January 22, 2013.

About the name:
The name Parima is actually a combination of my name, my sister’s name (Arianna), and my mom’s name (Maria). They are two of the most important people in my life, and I would definitely not be where I am now without their unwavering support and endless love.

Frequently asked questions

What is the processing/shipping time?

Prints that are 13"x19" and smaller will ship within 3-5 business days (weekends and holidays do not count). Prints that are larger than 13"x19" will ship within 8-10 business days . Canvas prints take 10-12 business days to ship.

If you require your order to be delivered by a certain date, please contact me and I will be more than happy to work with you. Please note that a rush fee of $25 may apply.

Can you crop the image so it can fit my frame?

As a general rule, you should wait until you receive the print before you buy the frame.

The sizes that are offered are the sizes that are proportionate to the image. I will NOT crop my images to fit your frame. Sorry! I hope you understand. It takes a lot of time to create the one-off special file. Plus, it pains me to cut out sections of my artwork.

However, if you are really set on cropping it, I would recommend purchasing the closet size print to your desired size, and take it to a local print shop or FedEx/Kinkos to have it cut down.

Another option is getting a custom mat opening made with the desired size. Then you can play with where you want to "crop" the image.

Can you change the colors on the print?

I cannot change the colors on a specific print. They are as they are. But, if you need a painting with a specific color palette, I would love to create a custom piece for you. Custom paintings start at $425 for a 16x20. Learn more about the process of my commission process at

I am currently not accepting any custom animal print orders.

I live near the area, can I pick up my order?

That's awesome! I love knowing that I have some local fans! Unfortunately, at this time I am not able to host customers in my workspace.

Can I buy the digital file of the print so I can print it at home? I promise I won’t share it, or sell it.

It's good to hear that you are a good hearted person, and you probably won't share it or sell it. But my files are an essential part of my business. It's how I make the prints! They are like my babies, and I must protect them any way I can, especially in this digital age. Sorry the digital files of my paintings are not for sale. And if I were to sell my images, they would cost a significant amount more than the print price ;)
