The story of a Fabriholic
Mi abuela era costurera. Mi madre era artesana. Desde pequeña, me sentaba frente a una máquina de coser o tenía aguja e hilo en la mano.
La creatividad de mi madre impulsó la mía, enseñándome a crear un patrón para lo que necesitaba cuando no encontraba algo comercial. Y después de su fallecimiento, cumplí su sueño de hacer acolchados. Mi madre siempre estaba dibujando patrones de acolchados, coleccionando telas y hojeando libros de acolchados, pero nunca encontraba el tiempo para terminar uno. Terminé mi primer acolchado en el otoño de 2014 y lo presenté a la feria estatal de Carolina del Norte. Es fácil decir que me enganché.
En los últimos años he completado muchas colchas para amigos y quería expandir mi pasatiempo y en 2024, abrí oficialmente mi tienda de colchas en línea.

My grandmother was a seamstress. My mother was a crafter. From a young age I was sitting at a sewing machine or had needle and thread in hand.
My mother's creativity fueled my own, teaching me to create a pattern for what I needed when I couldn't find something commercially. And after she passed away, I took on her dream of quilting. My mother was always sketching quilt patterns, collecting fabric and flipping through quilt books, but never quite found the time to complete one. I completed my first quilt in the fall of 2014 and entered it into the NC State fair. Easy to say I was hooked.
In the past few years I have completed many quilts for friends and wanted to expand my hobby and in 2024, I officially opened my online quilt shop.
