Growing up in New York with five siblings and not a whole lot of money, my mother had to come up with a way to dress us and furnish our home, while saving money. So second-hand stores/thrift shops were her favorite places to shop. She would drag us all there at least once a month to let us pick our own clothes, shoes and other special treats. I guess that was where we all got the love for shopping reusable and vintage treasures. I've traveled to many places all over the US and could never leave without stopping by an antique store, yard sale, flea market, Goodwill, Salvation Army, Vintage Shop, etc. I've been collecting these treasures for years now and decided that, since my kids do not seem to be interested in them, that I will pass them on to those that will. I hope you will find something for your own unique style and it will bring you as much happiness as it has brought me.
