The Clothes of Yesteryear, Designed for Today

Phonograph Fashions began in 2013, when I fulfilled a lifelong dream of launching my first clothing line. There was no big factory or workers to actually make the garments; just me and my sewing machine. Each piece was (and still is!) created entirely by me, including the design, production, and finishing of each garment. This allows me to maintain control over the quality of work, as I strive to make each piece beautiful and unique.

My aim is to bring early 20th century style to life, while maintaining affordable prices and sustainable business practices. Very little is wasted in my studio, as even small fabric scraps are re-used for some purpose or another. My designs are often based on 1920’s illustrations, but I employ modern sewing techniques so the garment may be easily worn and enjoyed for many years to come! I hope you love my fashions as much as I love creating them.

Hello and thank you for visiting my shop!

I have always been fascinated by historical styles. While I love real vintage clothing, many pieces from my favourite eras are too delicate to wear. That is why I created Phonograph Fashions.

Phonograph Fashions sells clothing inspired by vintage designs. Most of the clothing has been styled after designs from the 1880's through the 1950's. While I use historical inspiration, I create the garments using modern techniques, so you get the best of the old and the new.

I've also opened a second shop at: (which is currently on hiatus while I restock/redesign this space)

Additional policies and FAQs
Q: Do you accept custom orders?
A: YES! I love doing custom orders. I can make any of my existing designs in different sizes, colours, and fabrics (depending on fabric availability of course). I can also custom design a piece just for you! For a price quote, just send me a message with the details of what you would like. Custom orders typically take 4 weeks to complete, with rush orders available for an extra $10 on some items.

Q: How big are you various sizes?
A: While my designs are loosely based on a set of "standard" sizes, my clothes are often loose fitting or have some stretch. People come in all different shapes and sizes and I try to accommodate as many people as possible. For the "size" of a specific garment please see the measurements on the listing. If you have any questions or want a custom order in your size, don't hesitate to send me a message,
