Hallo, ik ben Peter, de persoon achter Pixel & Python.

Ik ben docent informatica met een achtergrond in computerwetenschappen, en ik heb Pixel & Python opgericht om twee dingen te combineren waar ik echt van geniet: technologie en lesgeven.

Het werken in de klas heeft me laten zien hoe waardevol een goede bron kan zijn. Het juiste werkblad, de juiste programmeeropdracht of de juiste herhalingsoefening kan een lastig onderwerp omzetten in iets wat leerlingen daadwerkelijk begrijpen en leuk vinden. Het heeft me ook laten zien hoeveel tijd docenten besteden aan het creëren, aanpassen en zoeken naar lesmateriaal.

Daar komen Pixel & Python vandaan.

Ik ontwikkel praktische, boeiende en direct inzetbare computerlesmaterialen, ontworpen met echte leerlingen en docenten in gedachten. Mijn doel is om computeronderwijs makkelijker, leerzamer en leuker te maken.

De winkel richt zich op programmeren, informatica, digitale vaardigheden en educatieve hulpmiddelen, waarbij alles is ontwikkeld vanuit het perspectief van iemand die daadwerkelijk informatica doceert.

Of je nu een docent bent die voorbereidingstijd wil besparen, een ouder die een jonge leerling ondersteunt, of een student die zijn of haar computervaardigheden wil ontwikkelen, ik hoop dat je hier iets vindt dat je helpt.

Hi, I’m Peter, the person behind Pixel & Python.

I’m a Computing teacher with a background in Computer Science, and I created Pixel & Python to combine two things I genuinely enjoy: technology and teaching.

Working in the classroom has shown me how valuable a good resource can be. The right worksheet, coding challenge or revision activity can turn a difficult topic into something students actually understand and enjoy. It has also shown me just how much time teachers spend creating, adapting and searching for resources.

That’s where Pixel & Python came from.

I create practical, engaging and classroom-ready Computing resources designed with real students and teachers in mind. My aim is to make Computing easier to teach, easier to learn and a little more fun along the way.

The shop focuses on programming, Computer Science, digital skills and educational resources, with everything created from the perspective of someone who actually teaches Computing.
