About

It's a beautiful world

I've been a lifelong photographer and more recently have immersed myself in the world of photo artistry.

What is photo artistry I hear you ask?

Photo Artistry a fusion of conventional photography with digital imagery and ephemera to create beautiful fine art works. Using digital imaging and composite software such as Adobe Photoshop allows the artist to bring their vision to life. Each artwork is built up as a series of layers and the final product can often be the result of dozens (even hundreds!) of individual layers. Each layer works with the other layers to create different effects. The process is complex with most pieces taking many days to create.

I'm deeply inspired by the natural world and particularly flowers. I can spend hours in a garden where there's always something to see and photograph.

Before spending my days pursuing art, I used to be one of the worker bees who spent a good chunk of their day in an office. Doing office-y things. Like marketing plans. And return on investment reports. Yawn. But in between the boring bits, I did get to work on more creative projects mostly involving graphic design. And I travelled the globe. And everywhere I went, my camera came with me. I used to squeeze my art in between conferences and meetings.

Until 2012.

That fateful year I finally achieved my dream of attending the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in stunning Missoula, Montana.

It was, without doubt, the best three months of my life.

Unfortunately, aside from teaching me photography, it also made me unfit for corporate life. Once you get a taste of that kind of creative passion it’s just not possible to go back to business as usual. So I quit my job. A move that surprised absolutely nobody. So I’m told.

Why do I create art?
Because I want to immerse myself in beauty and share that with others. I guess you could say that art is the excuse to spend my days taking a deep dive into the beauty of this glorious world.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Custom orders are welcome! If you need a print in a size that is not listed, or if you have any other special requests, please feel free to contact me.

Sizing details

Print sizes are shown in inches in the drop down menu to the right of the product. Other sizes may be available - just message me.

Why do the colours of my print look different to the screen?

All computer monitors vary, so the colors you see on your monitor may differ slightly from those of the print due to variations in monitor settings.

What kind of quality are your prints?

All of my art prints are professionally printed. They are printed on a 100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish and a fine texture. This paper is heavier and thicker than regular photographic paper - it is designed specifically for museum grade fine art prints. Only archival inks are used. This combination of paper and ink produces a print with rich colour and depth that will last a lifetime.

How should I display my print?

Your print is made with a great deal of care and is designed to last a lifetime. To care for your print, it is best to frame it under glass and hang out of direct sunlight.
