Welcome! My name is Aurora (Atsanik in Inuttut). I am Inuit from Nunatsiavut, the Inuit territory in Northern Labrador. I’m a queer, nonbinary (they/their), full time university student at MRU. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @QuirkyInuk!
All beadwork is made by me, using 11/0 glass beads, size D thread, flat beaded on thick felt, with thin felt or fabric backing. As with all beadwork and handmade items, there will be minor flaws in all my earrings.

The first beading project I ever worked on; the medallion represents both my name and my Inuit culture.
I’ve always loved art, but no medium has been as special to me as beading is. I started learning how to bead at a drop-in course offered by my university’s student association in late 2016. The class is led by an amazing, supportive Blackfoot woman, occasionally accompanied by her daughter.
The first project I ever completed was a medallion that represents both my name, and it’s multiple meanings, as well as my culture. I had the amazing opportunity to wear that medallion in the House of Commons in 2017, as a representative of Calgary Midnapore for Equal Voice’s historic “Daughters of the Vote” initiative.
Now I mostly bead earrings, and I have a special focus on creating themed earrings based on various movies, books, TV shows, and anime’s. This is where my shop name originated :)

Frequently asked questions
What is your refund policy?
Because this is a small business, refunds are only available in one of two situations:
-If, after 8 weeks, a delivery is not received (except in extreme circumstances, such as an extreme weather event or a global event [such as during periods of the COVID-19 pandemic*] that may shut down or significantly limit mail services)
OR
-A delivery is damaged (broken beads, ripped, damaged by elements, if the item[s] are not wearable/ useable)
Having said that, please contact me before leaving negative feedback if you are unhappy and I will try my best to work with you and come up with a suitable solution.
*Ex: October to December 2020, packages in Canada and the USA were estimated by Canada Post to be taking several extra weeks to arrive
