Dating back to the 1800’s, the twin-cities we grew up in has a rich history in the leather industry. Gloversville and Johnstown, at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York, was once known as the “Glove Making Capital of the World.” The industry still exists today at a much smaller scale.
Relicate was founded in 2014 serving primarily the automotive aftermarket. Along the way, we have helped makers with their leather needs in markets including furniture, jewelry and small leather goods. We hope to serve the Etsy community in the same way.
Our deep understanding of leather along with an extensive network of manufacturers and finishers allow us to create for you most types of leather for varieties of applications.
