RetroRamics is functional and beautiful, handmade ceramic, home-decor and houseware designs inspired by mid-century modern art. RetroRamics is a mother and daughter run Etsy shop. All of our designs are handmade with loving detail to make your home or office more modern and beautiful. Charlene is an artist with a Master of Fine Arts degree. Her daughter, Amy has run a boho ceramic jewelry and pottery Etsy shop (surly.etsy.com) since 2007 and has a 30 year history in visual arts. Together, they have merged their talents, styles and love of modern and contemporary ceramic art to bring you a totally new project, RetroRamics. We hope you enjoy our collaboration!

5 out of 5 starsI bought this for my younger daughter and it's absolutely gorgeous. The design on the rim of the bowl is quite festive. It's really the glazing though that makes this bowl into such an exquisite piece. The depths of color and variation are endlessly fascinating. Both of us were quite charmed by the bowl, which was deeper than I imagined and the outer glazing on the bowl bottom just took our breath away. One of a kind piece, but it's so typical of the reach of this artist.

We use earthenware and stoneware clay as well as clay slip (both low and high fire). -
Sometimes we even make our own clay tools! -
