Two potters, two daughters and a dog

My husband Robert and I met and fell in love at pottery school 25 years ago, and have been working with clay ever since. Robert built our house and studio on a cliff in the mountains of the Eastern Townships where I grew up. We share the work and both enjoy throwing on the potter's wheel. Robert is the glaze master and does all the finishing and the firing as well as creating his own line of one of a kind serving pieces and birdbaths. Our two daughters also do apprentice type work in the studio on weekends and during the summer months when they are home from school. We often lure them home with promises of lasagna!

One part of our studio is a shop open to the public, one part is a small school where we give pottery classes to both children and adults, one part is my workspace, and one part is Robert's workspace. Our house is built above our studio and looks out over fields

Our faithful dog Lucy has her nose to the grindstone as well, greeting each visitor or student and generally getting underfoot, a constant joy to have around.
