Sizing details
We are delighted to offer our Ruby Loves Tuesday customers an in-house resizing service. Our standard ring resizing service is priced at £50; this may increase if the item requires additional work or metals added.
If you wish to resize your ring or make any adjustments to your jewellery, please contact us before making a purchase. This will ensure that we can determine if the piece is suitable for any changes before you pay.
Please note that certain pieces of jewellery may not be suitable for alteration due to their construction. We will always keep this in mind to maintain the item's integrity.
Usually, this service takes 2-3 days to complete. However, once an item has been resized, it is no longer eligible for return or exchange.
Gift wrapping and packaging
At Ruby Loves Tuesday, we are committed to being environmentally friendly. To achieve this, we use recycled materials and boxes for our packaging.
Your item will be delivered in a beautiful presentation box, wrapped in matching tissue paper, and gift bag (if available). If you require additional gift-wrapping services or gift notes, please let us know, and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Please note that the antique boxes used in our photos are not for sale unless otherwise stated.
Care instructions
Before listing any of our items for sale, we thoroughly check and appraise them ourselves, as well as by an expert jeweller.
It's important to note that all of our items are pre-owned and may have some slight signs of wear. However, we always strive to showcase these in our photos and videos.
In the event of any problems arising after the sale, we're happy to offer a one-month guarantee for our pieces.
Returns
We provide our customers with a 14-day returns policy. Please contact us within 24 hours of receiving it. To be eligible for a refund, all items must be returned in their original condition as they were shipped.
To ensure that your item is safely and quickly returned to us, we ask that you use guaranteed special delivery with appropriate insurance and tracking. This will help us process your refund as soon as possible.
Please note that we are not liable for any import taxes or duties that may be applied when returning items from overseas. If you are returning items from overseas, please mark them as "UK RETURN" on the customs form. Any fees incurred due to incorrect labelling will be deducted from the refund amount.
Hallmarking & Dating
We try our absolute best to correctly date our items, using our 35 years of experience to identify their stones, cuts, and history. Any slight errors made, are purely accidental & not meant to be misleading in any way.
Our gemstones are all checked by a specialist & unless otherwise stated, are natural stones.
As hallmarking became a legal requirement only in the mid-1970s, a significant number of our pieces were crafted before this time and may not bear a hallmark. However, these pieces undergo professional testing to confirm their metal content, which will be clearly stated in the item's description.
Misrepresentation
Please note that the sizing and colour assessments of diamonds or coloured gemstones are provided for your information and are made without disturbing the integrity of the piece. However, due to limitations imposed by the mount or setting, the assessments are approximations.
We do not accept the opinion of any other third party. If you believe that your item has been misrepresented, you can return it within 14 days, and we will pay for an independent assessment by a qualified and experienced gemologist or antique jewellery expert.
Please note that any unauthorised testing will result in no refunds being made under any circumstances. If the item is found to be misrepresented, you will receive a full refund.
Shipping
UK items will be sent via the Royal Mail Special Delivery service and will provide you with the tracking information once the items have been dispatched.
Additionally, we offer free worldwide shipping for which we will use the Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed service or DHL Express whenever possible. The shipping time for this service varies from 7 days to 3 weeks depending on the location.
Please note that antique items are usually exempt from VAT / additional taxes, but we advise you to check the customs and import duties for your country to avoid any surprises.
Lastly, please be aware that we are not responsible for any shipping delays or customs issues, nor any additional local taxes or fees that may apply.
Layaway
At Etsy, we provide our customers the option to use Klarna and PayPal to make three equal, interest-free payments, and receive their item right away. We also offer layaway for items over £300, allowing you to pay for your chosen item(s) via PayPal invoice.
Our layaway plan usually consists of three equal payments, split over the course of 90 days. The first payment will serve as your non-refundable deposit. Please note that items purchased through layaway are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Once you have completed the payment plan, we will dispatch your item(s) using our fully insured and signed-for delivery service.
