Simit & Salsa is a Texas-based design studio creating sculptural decor inspired by mythology, dark fantasy, folklore, and the characters and stories that have fascinated us for centuries.
Our shop started with a simple idea: to create pieces we would genuinely want to display in our own home — designs with character, presence, and a story behind them. What began as a creative project quickly grew into an ever-expanding world of gods and goddesses, celestial guardians, ravens, dragons, mythical creatures, shelf sitters, and dark fantasy decor.
For us, a design has to work beyond the screen. We think about the silhouette, proportions, balance, fine details, durability, and most importantly, how the finished piece will actually look and feel on a bookshelf, altar, desk, or collection display.
Each piece is produced in our Texas studio, then carefully inspected, prepared, wrapped, and packed by us before it begins its journey to its new home.
We love seeing the different reasons people find our work — a favorite mythological figure, a character that reminds them of a story they love, a guardian for an altar, or simply something unusual that feels like it belongs on their bookshelf.
