Whimsical world of Sheep Incognito art - punny allegories packed in woolly wrappings, with a fluffy dose of happy thoughts, whacky humor, and captivating ideas.
Most of them are oils or acrylics on canvas, some are digital paintings.
New paintings are happening all the time in my studio in South Carolina, because the flock just will not let me sleep at night, while I am counting them...yeah, they are weird like that.

Come smile at the flock of maaahem - it will make your heart feel just a little lighter!

Sheep Incognito by Conni Togel

From being a teacher's assistant in a PreSchool, to being a window builder, to doing set design for TV and concert productions, to running my own graphic design studio in Germany, my path has been quite curvy in life.
Traveling in Europe, studying in Germany, painting in France, exploring in England, and visiting the sheep in Wales and Australia - something in me just cannot stand still long enough to live what is considered a "settled life".
But with that comes life experience, and a view of "the human condition" that might as well be the same view sheep have of us as human beings.
We are a weird flock: always concerned and panicked about something, happiest when eating well, glad when we get to just lay around all day, and generally a very colorful, sometimes smelly group of fluffy brains.

Though I've never had a painting lesson in my life, I do admire other artists for their use of light, color, or whatever else makes their work special.
I taught myself to paint: watercolors, pencils, markers, whatever I could lay my hands on.
From flowers, to fairies, to wizards, to landscapes, to abstracts, and stillifes - the one thing that finally captivated me and gave me "my voice" were the sheep in my landscapes. And they took on a whole new art message of their own: the captions allow me to "have my say", the images look innocent and adorable, and together, they make people smile.
The "Sheep Incognito" have become my studio buddies, my smiles on dark days, my inspiration, and my messengers of hope, humor, and happiness - and coming up with new ideas is my favorite pastime.

All my work is available as prints on paper or canvas, as jewelry pieces, mugs, in calendars, on phone covers, blankets, etc. - and I am always open for wholesale inquiries on any of that.
Come see us at a fiber festival, an art show, or an irish festival near ewe!

Ah, Sheep!
They are the meadow muffins everybody flocks to - they are a sign of peaceful times and healthy surroundings.
And, they have a tendency to be kinda goofy...which is exactly why I have taken to creating my Sheep Incognito flock of paintings....

Bounce along for some giggles and shear awwwwsomeness!
