La historia de fondo en el nombre de mi tienda ...
En febrero de 2016 perdí a mi papá. No hace falta decir que lo extraño mucho y daría mucho por tenerlo de vuelta aquí conmigo y mi familia.
El nombre de mi tienda - Shell's Scribbles fue nombrado en memoria de mi papá. Cada vez que dibujaba (no importaba si solo eran garabatos en un pedazo de papel o algo más involucrado) siempre solía decirme que solo estaba "garabateando". ¡Tampoco usó mi nombre completo y siempre me llamó Shell!
Me tomó bastante tiempo volver a dibujar y encontrar mi "surco" nuevamente desde que falleció. Siempre fue mi intención cuando abrí mi tienda tener mis propios "garabatos" que otros pudieran disfrutar. Pero caí en una gran rutina y perdí mi pasión y el disfrute que solía obtener del dibujo.
He comenzado a encontrarlo de nuevo y ahora puedo sonreír cuando estoy dibujando y pensar en cómo solía burlarse de mí todo el tiempo y todos los maravillosos recuerdos que teníamos juntos.
Tengo el privilegio de ser una madre que se queda en casa para mis dos pequeños monos y un esposo amoroso que apoya mi adicción a la planificación y la elaboración. ME ENCANTA dibujar... Entonces, ¿por qué no convertir mi pasión y adicción en algo que otros también puedan disfrutar?

The backstory on my shop's name...
In February of 2016 I lost my Dad. It goes without saying that I miss him dearly and would give so much to have him back here with me and my family.
My shop name - Shell's Scribbles was named in memory of my Dad. Every single time I was drawing (no matter if it was just doodles on a piece of paper or something more involved) he always used to tell me that I was just "scribbling". He also never used my full name and always called me Shell!
It took me quite awhile to get back into drawing and to find my "groove" again since he passed away. It was always my intent when I opened my shop to have my own "scribbles" that others could enjoy. But I fell into a major rut and lost my passion and the enjoyment that I used to get out of drawing.
I have started to find it again and now I can smile when I am drawing and think of how he used to tease me all the time and all the wonderful memories we had together.
I have the privilege of being a stay at home mom to my two little monkeys and a loving husband who supports my planner and crafting addiction. I LOVE drawing... So why not turn my passion and addiction into something others can enjoy too!
