En algún lugar entre entonces y ahora
Somewhere Between Then & Now
A veces… tal vez no.
Me interesa volver a nuestras raíces.
Bienvenidos a Little Elsewhere. 🤎
Little Elsewhere started with a pretty simple question: Did we leave some really good things behind?
I love modern life. I appreciate technology, convenience, and same-day delivery more than I probably should. I have absolutely no desire to move to a cabin and churn my own butter by candlelight.
But I also think there’s something worth paying attention to in the way things used to be done.
Before every shelf held seventeen versions of the same thing, people made more of what they used. They knew what was in it. They passed down recipes, remedies, and little bits of know-how that didn’t need to be revolutionary to be useful.
And somewhere along the way, we traded a lot of that for convenience.
Sometimes, that was an excellent trade.
Sometimes… maybe not.
That’s the idea behind Little Elsewhere.
I’m interested in going back to our roots. Not because everything old was better, but because some things might be worth bringing forward. I love learning how things were once made, trying them for myself, and figuring out whether they still deserve a place in modern life.
The things that do? Those are the things you’ll find here.
Right now, that means tallow skincare, herbal goods, and a growing collection of useful, beautiful, slightly unexpected things that have earned their place in Little Elsewhere.
I’m also currently studying holistic health, which has only made me more curious about ingredients, traditional practices, and the everyday things we put in, on, and around our bodies. I’m learning as I go, asking a lot of questions, and probably turning more of those questions into projects than necessary.
Little Elsewhere isn’t about giving up modern life to recreate the past.
It’s about keeping the good parts.
Taking a little old-fashioned know-how, a little modern convenience, and figuring out what still makes sense somewhere between then and now.
Some things belong in the past.
Some things are worth keeping.
Welcome to Little Elsewhere. 🤎
