Sisu By Picalily was born during the time of Covid. Started by Lily (Korhonen) Lapchuk, it began with an idea for a Face Covering that had a Finnish flag and Canadian Flag on it and a desire to purchase Nordic-inspired products online that didn't have to be imported from overseas. Although Lily was born in Canada, she has dual citizenship as both of her parents were born in Finland. She has been an active member of the Finnish community in Canada, including designing the Finnish Canadian weekly newspaper, KanadanSanomat, for several years.
