**Special Notice!!** I have been accepted for a Field Research Assistant & Conservation Outreach position that is out of town... I will be unable to fulfill any orders at this time, but I look forward to getting back to the drawing board upon my return next year! Thank you for your understanding!
Hello delightful beings,

My art actually pulls inspiration from my love of life on our incredibly biodiverse planet and my background in Ecology. I have a lot of passion for environment and social justice issues. I am falling madly in love with permaculture and adding it's principles to my existing life philosophies. So whenever possible I use recycled, sustainable, reused and found objects in my art. Most of my painting is done in water-colour and printed on recycled or hemp paper.

I am quite excited to start on a *GIANT* sized (long term) project.. At least, tis for me! You see, I have a dream for something, perhaps radical, in my city. In its most sublime form there would be sustainable building(s) easily accessed by transit, and preferably not too far from the city centre.. This building on the outside would have green space with a permaculture food forest or similar, lots of bike racks, of course and bike shelters. Perhaps one or two parking spots for a car/van-share. The roof would be green, or house bees, or perhaps solar panels.. Inside would be a mix of affordable housing and work-spaces for artists and activists (non-profit workers, social justice and environment advocates, permaculture teachers and the like).

Ideally there would also be a big shared commercial kitchen (though the apartments would have mini kitchens too,), daycare, a communal hub space and space for select retail on the ground floor. Eventually this may expand to other areas of need, however, this is one sector that has not been specifically targeted in the affordable housing world, in a way that creates possibility for co-location work-spaces and beyond!

To get there I'll start with smaller projects.. Learning from artists, activists, the city and potential communities. Renovating and adapting existing spaces.. Connecting people with resources already available in our city... Helping to grow vibrant, whole, walkable, livable communities!

My project I am calling Affordable Art Pads, a rather fun little play on words but not too perplexing. I've started a facebook group here:

I do hope you will check it out and feel free to share your insights!
