About

Simple, stylish and ethical handmade jewelry with meaning - 10% of all sales supports endometriosis and women's health charities!

As an endometriosis sufferer, I created Splendometria Jewelry Co. as a result of my struggles to find the resources and care I needed. I became determined to raise awareness about endometriosis and other gynecological conditions. My vision is to inform and empower women by providing information and tools so they may advocate for their own care, and to create simple yet elegant jewelry that symbolizes their journey as women, whether or not they are affected by gynecological issues.

Here's how it all began...

Splendometria Jewelry was born out of my frustration with my endometriosis: the debilitating pain, the huge impact on seemingly every corner of my life, and the bang-your-head-against-the-wall feeling that even with my amazingly supportive family and friends, from a medical standpoint I was alone in this, with almost no resources, no one to listen, and no one to fix me.

I just got this urge one day to create. I needed to create jewelry of some kind. I had dabbled in jewelry making in the past, so I had a few basic supplies. And thus, on my tile floor in the early morning hours , I made the anklet that started it all. The next day, all I wanted to do was make jewelry. Then I started thinking: what if I could channel all this emotion, all this frustration, advocacy, and passion into something? What if I could use my newfound enthusiasm for jewelry-making as a way to empower women and help them advocate for their own care and for better care?! I could certainly try, anyway!

I then set out to develop a few prototypes for Splendometria Jewelry Co.'s “signature” piece, a flat, teardrop-shaped stone wrapped in wire an accented by two smaller round side stones, meant to be symbolic of a uterus and ovaries.

Once I finalized the prototype, I needed to create a name for my little operation. I came up with "Splendometria”, coming from ‘splendor’ or ‘splendid’ with the jewelry aspect, and ‘endometriosis’ or ‘endometrium’ for the disease and the cause I wanted to support. I knew that there was no way anyone else would have this name, so it would definitely be unique and hopefully memorable!

Over two years later, I am pleased to say that things are going extremely well and I am very grateful for all of my wonderful supporters and loyal customers! I am still just as passionate about creating new and exciting pieces, and I look forward to the continued growth and reach of Splendometria Jewelry Co. in raising awareness and funds for this important cause! I feel fortunate to have heard so many incredible stories from some amazing women struggling with endo and other gynecological conditions; I have learned so much and it has truly been the most rewarding part. Together, our voices will be heard!

Thanks for checking out Splendometria Jewelry!

***PLEASE*** contact us PRIOR to leaving feedback to see how we can resolve any issue together! Customer satisfaction is our top priority!

Returns and exchanges are handled on a case by case basis. If an issue arises, our goal is to resolve it quickly and fairly. Etsy's review system is based on a star-rating in addition to comments. Each star rating greatly impacts SplendometriaJewelry's overall rating seen by potential customers. We strive to do our very best to ensure customers are happy, and we consider anything less than FIVE STARS to be a negative review. If you do not feel you received 5-star product/service, please contact us BEFORE leaving your review and we will do what we can to ensure you are completely satisfied!

Yes! We love creating custom pieces and adding special touches to orders - if we have (or can find!) the elements you're looking for, we will make it! Please click the "Request Custom Order" button on one of our listing, or contact us and we will work with you to design your perfect piece! Pricing for custom pieces will be individually quoted as requested.

No, this is currently not an option as our charms are handmade by another artisan. If there is a specific type of charm you are looking for, please contact us as we may be able to order it. Additional processing time and costs may be involved.

The elastic cord used on our stretch bracelets is very durable, but due to exposure to water, sweat, sun, oils, etc. and even just from regular use, it may wear and break down over time, as all elastic cords do eventually.

If your cord breaks within one (1) year of purchase, we will happily re-string it for you at no cost to you aside from return shipping. Simply contact us prior to shipping it out to let us know.

If you are missing beads or a charm, or it has been longer than one year since purchase, replacement charges will apply. Contact us for details on your specific situation.

Splendometria Jewelry Co. welcomes inquiries regarding wholesale opportunities, and we are looking to expand our wholesale client base. Please contact us to discuss further! splendometria@gmail.com

Splendometria Jewelry Co. was created as a result of the founder's personal struggles with endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, and the different awareness ribbon colours and meanings are mentioned in each listing. However, our line is meant to be simple, stylish, everyday wear for anyone who appreciates its beauty and simplicity.

If you have a deeper connection through an illness or condition, wonderful! But if not, that's ok too! The only requirement is that you love your handmade piece!
