5 out of 5 starsEvery piece in this zine is a joy to read. It's lovely to be able to get perspectives from such a wide range of people, and the theme of body positivity is explored from a number of interesting angles.

Make zines!
Static Cloud is the shop name for Static Zine and its involved zine pals. Static Zine, Toronto's DIY mag(azine) started in June 2011. It is run by Jessica Lewis, Melody Lamb and Aviva Cohen.
The zine brings contributors from all over the world to make one page on their own based on a theme's issue. Each issue contains about 20-30 contributors, who either tackle the topic through writing, illustration, photography, game designs or a mish mash of a few. Static has published issues on first times, pretend fanzines, travel stories, food and mental health stories, to name a few.
Static is passed throughout Toronto for free (cost here is considered donation towards printing of the next issue). To support the printing of each issue, the zine throws launch parties and numerous different events throughout the year.
Static Cloud serves as a shop for issues of Static as well as zines by its contributors and friends. Static Cloud aims to show off DIY talent and to make zines from around the world more accessible (and cheaper, postage wise) around Toronto and Canada.

Shop policies
We publish Static Zine twice a year. Each issue is on a different theme, and the contributors must design their page - whether it's writing, drawing, photography, illustration, game designs, etc - based on that theme.
We also operate a small distro. This includes zines from Static Zine's editors, zines from within the collective and our international friends. This distro is in development.
