For all things geeky, kawaii and more!
StichCreations
The spelling that I chose has a little back story to it.
Stich pronounced as 'Stick' means a verse or line of poetry, this works in 3 ways for some of the more major things that I do...
first: people usually pronounce it as stitch and that goes along with the creation of the stich doll (he is on the back of my business card and is my mascot) he was pretty much the start of the whole thing in 2007.
Stich also has a bit of a back story and meaning to him as well. All through grade school I was bullied, and over the holidays I created the stich doll as a reminder that every time you get knocked down you stitch yourself back up and you keep going. No matter how bad the bullying gets things will get better, and since then he has stayed with me every step of the way.
second: the true pronunciation of Stick goes along with the wood work / sculptures that I make
and third: the meaning... I enjoy writing poetry and have had 3 of my works published with the poetry institute of canada along side my grandfather
the stitch doll started the transition of my first sale in 2007.
I stopped crafting for awhile to work and continue my study's and started back up making things in 2012 and after taking a carpentry program in 2012- 2013,
I expand my craft and now bring in handmade wood-products.
I hand make all my items,
all the polymer jewelry and charms are hand sculpted and painted or glazed,
each sitch doll is sewn by hand,
and I collect the driftwood and sea glass to be used in my work from the shores of St. Andrews, NB
