I am a university student who loves crafting and creating, experimenting, and sharing my little creations with you! Creating new things has always been a passion of mine, I find it so relaxing and I love being able to come home and work on a project after a stressful day.

Thank you for taking time to browse Strings & Things! I specialize in creating handmade, cozy, woolen goodies for your closet and home. All items are made and designed by me, with some exceptions for certain items. I source as many of my supplies as possible through local or Canadian sources so you can truly get the "made local" experience with your items.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Return items back within: 21 days of delivery
I don't accept cancellations

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
Returns and exchanges are allowed under certain If you purchase an item and decide you are not satisfied with the item, or it was not exactly what you were looking for, you may give the item back and be issued with a store credit for the exact amount that was originally spent.

You have two weeks from the date of pick up/delivery to decide whether or not you would like to exchange the item. If you do decide that you would like to exchange the item, it is your responsibility to either personally deliver the item back to me, or ship it to me in whichever way is most convenient for yourself. Shipping charges will be your own responsibility and will not be reimbursed. Store credit will not be issued until I have received the unwanted item. I will offer complimentary shipping, if required, to get your new item delivered to you.

Custom orders, with no exceptions, will be eligible for return or exchange. Custom orders are special orders designed by the customer that are not regularly sold. These are items that have no guarantee to be resold. Please think carefully about your custom orders. If you have any questions or concerns I am happy to take time to speak with you and help you come to a conclusion. As soon as supplies have been purchased, cancellations are not available.

If you receive your item and it is damaged, please notify me right away by emailing me through Etsy so we can discuss further action. If it has been longer than 2 weeks for international deliveries and you haven't received your package, please contact me immediately.
Payment
Acceptable methods of payment are either cash, E-Transfer, or PayPal. Cheques will absolutely not be accepted. Payment is required upon order and I will not start working on your order until you have paid in full. If you place an order during a busy season and do not pay right away, your order will be bumped down the line as new orders flow in and are paid for.

Taxes are included in the price of your order and I do all of that separately so you do not have to worry about anything!

Cancellation requests must be made within 12 hours of placing your order. If the request is placed after this time, chances are I have already purchased the supplies for your order and have started on it, so there will be no cancellations once this has happened. On the off chance that I have yet to start your order within 12 hours, please send me a message to check the status of your order. I cannot make any guarantees, and it is best to stick to the three day cancellation policy.
Delivery
Shipping prices may fluctuate depending on the item and where it is being shipped to. I will do my best to update you about any information regarding this. Please allow at least one to three weeks for the item to be made if it is a made to order item, and at least two weeks for shipping depending on your location.

All items are shipped via Canada Post, come with a tracking number, and insurance to cover any lost items or damages.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you need to place an order and have it filled promptly, you can pay an additional fee for me to bump up your order. As an example:

If you place an order on December 15th and require it to be finished by December 20th and this is something that I am able to complete for you, but I have three orders ahead of yours which make it so that I am unable to finish it by December 20th, you may pay an additional flat fee of $5.00 to bump your order to the top of the list, which I will then finish first before your due date.

The flat fee of $5.00 will be the same fee required regardless of how expensive your order is, whether it is $10.00 or $50.00, a rush order fee will always be $5.00. This $5.00 will have to be paid immediately with the balance of your order total.

I will always reserve the right to refuse service. This is based completely upon my discretion and can be based upon a multitude of things. I can refuse service whenever I feel it necessary throughout our time working together with your order. There is no need for me to provide reasons for why I refuse service.

I will always reserve the right to reward my loyal customers with private discounts or small sales. This is, again, based completely upon my discretion.
