I work with lot of love and attention on each item, or piece of clothing.
Purchasing my creations you'll have a piece of me, of my history and my creativity.

Custom and wholesale orders are welcome.
Please read with attention every item description and my shop policies before to buy.
By purchasing from "The Butterflies Shop" it assures me that you have read and accept all of my & Etsy's policies and FAQ's
Working time for custom made fabric butterflies (necklace, hair pins, etc..) and raw stones jewelry is up to 1 week.
For custom made lingerie and clothings is up to 2 weeks.
So if you need an items by a certain date, please convo me before to buy it. I always do my best to make you happy!
Please note that the colours may vary depending on the computer screen you view them from.

Delivery
If you are interested in Insured Airmail, or other ways, please convo me before to pay the order.
I usually go the post office 2 or 3 times in a week.
You can find the tracking number in your Etsy orders. I always send a message with the tracking number when order is completed.
To pick up the shipment you will have to sign on delivery.
In my experience, if you are not at the destination address, a notice will be left on the day of delivery.
You will have a few days to agree on a new delivery of the shipment (each country has its own rules), after which the shipment will be returned to the sender (me) as unclaimed. The costs for a new shipment are at the buyer's expense. Returned orders can't be cancelled and refunded.
Delivery time (business days): Italy 3/5 days, Europe 5/9 days, U.S.A. 10/18 working days, Japan 10/18, Rest of the World 18/22 days.
Delivery times are indicative and sometimes not real.
It may happen that the postal service or customs hold the package even for several weeks, for reasons unknown to me. This is unfortunately out of my control, sorry!
In the event of important delays in delivery, which go beyond the 6 weeks, I will open a complaint with the Poste Italiane service and proceed with a new shipment of your order.
I apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by delivery delays, even if they are not due to me. Thanks for your understanding!
During holiday periods, such as Christmas, delivery times will be slower, due to the intense traffic in international shipping.
Do you want to receive your purchases in time for Christmas? My advice is to place your order by mid-November.
IMPORTANT!!! Due to disruptions from COVID-19 and potential shipping carrier delays, there’s a chance the shipment of your order will be slower than usual.
Rest assured I’ll keep you updated along the way as I get new information from the carrier.
If you're in hurry, or you can't be patient about the shipping time, please don't place your order in my shop.

Orders are shipped to the address on file with Etsy. Anything returned to me due to an incorrect address will require new shipping charges, which is the buyer's responsibility.

Additional policies and FAQs
My jewelry has not been sealed with paint or other sealant.
I use copper, brass, sterling silver and other plated metals.
All of the pertinent information for all individual pieces are listed in the description in full.
Everything is Nickel free.
Please remember to remove every jewelry piece before bathing, cleaning or sleeping.
Please keep them out of water and solvents/soaps.
My creations are very delicate and should be treated with extra care!
ALL ABOUT COPPER
Wearing copper has several important benefits.
Copper is an essential mineral for humans, and wearing copper jewelry has the benefit of slow copper absorption- perfect for proper assimilation.
It’s also been claimed that headaches, arthritis and joint pain.
Copper reacts naturally with our salty skin (which can be created whenever we sweat) or with certain hand lotions and parfumes, and sometimes turns skin green.. it’s totally normal!
To avoid this, you can apply a polymer coating to rings to act as a barrier between skin and the metal. Nail polish is one option. Be aware you'll need to reapply the coating from time to time since it will wear away.
I'll not refund or accept a return because your finger turns green.
Keep in mind that the green staining on your skin from your copper jewelry is not permanent and can be easily washed away with soap and water!
The best way to bring back luster to any piece of jewelry is to use a jewelry polishing cloth that can be easily purchased at most jewelry stores, online, and at many drugstores.
Don't use polishing cloth on gemstones.
There are many homemade methods to clean copper, like ketchup, lemon+salt, vinegar+salt, etc... but never never never use these acids on gemstones!
ETHIOPIAN OPALS AND HOW TO CARE FOR THEM
Keep your Ethiopian Opals away from water and liquids.
Ethiopian Opals are "hydrophane", which makes them thirsty for water. If the opals come in contact with water, they will absorb it like a sponge and they may lose their fire turning yellow or brown.
Avoid liquid chemicals around your Ethiopian Opals.
Liquids like perfumes, soaps and cleaning products can stains your opals and change their colour.
Do not expose your Opals to extreme changes in temperature.
Avoid manual labour when wearing your Opals.
When wearing opal jewellery, you should remember its moderate hardness and toughness. It rates 5.5 to 6.5 on Moh's scale of hardness. This puts them below quartz (7) and emeralds (7.5 to 8) and above pearls and coral (3 to 4). This means that it is best to take off your opal rings (jewelry in general) when trying to build a bookshelf or weed your garden!
Avoid making the stone collide with other objects, because the risk is that it will scratch or even break, falling from the frame.
Personally, Ethiopian Opals are my favourite gemstones. Their beautiful flashes of fire in all colours of the rainbow makes them so magical and unique. If you take care of them properly, they can last you a lifetime and more, but it depends by you only.
