Cuando estaba embarazada de mi primer hijo, me di cuenta de cuántos recuerdos habíamos creado juntos mi esposo y quería conmemorarlos, ¡y que seguiríamos creando pronto con la familia que estábamos empezando a formar! Así que, en mi tiempo libre, comencé un álbum de recortes familiar para plasmar creativamente todos los pequeños y grandes momentos.

Ahora que estoy esperando a nuestro segundo hijo, y siempre he tenido pasión por la literatura, vi las obras creativas y artesanales de otros usuarios de Etsy que vendían poesía personalizada y cuidadosamente elaborada. ¡Me encantó la idea! Me inspiró a retomar una forma de escritura creativa que no había tocado en mucho tiempo.

Pero quería ver si alguien había propuesto combinar mis dos pasiones: la poesía y el scrapbooking. Ambas tienen un toque muy personal, ¿sabes? Es una forma de expresarse tanto visual como literariamente. Pero no todo el mundo tiene el tiempo o quizás las ganas de dedicarse a ello, ¡aunque a muchos les encanta!

Así que pensé en intentarlo yo misma. Mis habilidades, mi escritura y mi ojo para el scrapbooking te ayudarán a conmemorar algo que te guste: ya sea una persona, un lugar, una fecha o simplemente una idea. Aunque no sea una obra original (una cita célebre o un versículo bíblico), es algo importante para ti, así que quiero crear algo que lo celebre y lo conmemore.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I realised how many memories my husband and I had already made together that I wanted to commemorate - and were continuing to make, soon with the family we were just beginning to build! So in my free time, I began a family scrapbook to creatively express all the little and monumental moments.

Now expecting our second, and always having my heart in Literature throughout my life, I saw the creative and artisanal works of other Etsy folk selling personalised, carefully crafted poetry - I loved that idea! It inspired me to get back into a form of creative writing that I had not touched for a long time.

But I wanted to see if anyone had proposed combining my two loves: poetry and scrapbooking. Both just have such a personal feel to them, you know? It's a way to express oneself both visually and literarily. But not everyone has the time or perhaps the inclination to get into it, themselves - even though many love it!

So I thought I'd give it a shot, myself! My skills, my writing and my scrapbooking eye to commemorate something that you love: whether a person, a place, a date or simply an idea. Even if it's not my own original work (a famous quote or a scripture verse), it's something important to you, so I want to make you something that celebrates and commemorates that.
