Custom and personalized orders
I'm happy to work with customers on custom orders. Feel free to message me with requests.
Wholesale availability
I have a colorway catalog and wholesale contact page at tiltingplanetyarn.com. I'd love to hear from you!
Duties and Import Taxes
The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient may be subject to these fees once the shipment reaches their country.
Unfortunately I cannot control or predict if duties or import taxes will be charged. Customs policies vary depending on the country. Contact your local customs office for more information regarding their policies and procedures.
Shipping Insurance
I highly recommend purchasing shipping insurance for your order. The cost varies depending on the value of your order. Please contact me for prices.
Care instructions
To reduce piling, and to keep your knits looking their best, I recommend hand washing and air drying. All yarn bases in stock are superwash, so if you prefer to machine wash and dry, they will not felt. Make sure to use cool water and a gentle detergent, preferably a wool wash. Suggested wool washes: Soak, Kookaburra, Eucalan. Color catchers are suggested since some dye may release on the first wash.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Consolidating your items is a great way to reduce waste. If you would like your items combined into the least amount of packaging needed, please let me know in the "note to seller" field. Since many items are purchased for gifting, all items are packaged individually, unless otherwise requested. I'm looking for ways to replace plastic packaging with paper. When paper is not effective I try to use packaging that is reusable by you, or that can be recycled.
Sales Tax
Washington State customers are automatically charged sales tax by Etsy. Etsy remits this payment to the state.
Care instructions
All of my in stock yarns are either 100% superwash merino, or a superwash merino blend. They can be machine washed & dried, but I recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry, for optimal care. I also recommend using a color catcher on your first wash, especially with more saturated colors. After dying my yarn I wash in Kookaburra wool wash and thoroughly rinse, but different soaps, detergents, & water temp/ph can cause colors to run. You can also pre-wash your hank of yarn using your preferred methods and a color catcher to insure that colors won't bleed after knitting.
Wooden Figure Care
Wooden figures should be kept dust free and given the occasional coating of wood safe wax. Use a light hand and soft cloth when buffing over the face. You may notice white areas, especially in cold weather, this is excess wax. It can be easily rubbed away. Exposure to water or high levels of humidity can cause wood to warp, so try to keep it as dry as possible.
