I live in the beautiful Comox Valley, B.C., and paint in my home studio near the Puntledge River. I enjoy spending lots of time in nature, and through painting, explore the interrelationship between humans and the natural world.

I was born in Barrie, Ontario in 1970 - my parents migrated to Comox, B.C. in 1976 where I grew up on the waterfront at Point Holmes. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UBC in 1993 I have worked as a professional artist participating in solo and group exhibitions as well as artist residencies across the province. I have travelled extensively; including extended trips to Europe and the Middle East. I also spent several seasons treeplanting in various remote corners of B.C. where I witnessed first-hand the effects of industry on the environment. These countless hours outdoors have deepened my connection to the land.

My paintings can take months to complete and I am usually working on about three pieces at once. Lots of my time is spent on just working on and fine tuning my ideas before I even start painting. I do about six originals a year, so I've appreciated giclee prints and art cards as a way to share my artwork with more people and with more budgets.

My shop includes limited edition canvas giclees, giclees on paper, art cards, a few originals as well as more recently; stickers, hats and socks.
