About

Part-Time Selling with Attention to Detail

My husband and I got our start selling vintage items online over 10 years ago when my grandmother had to go into a nursing home. She was a world-class collector. We handled her extensive collections without knowing exactly what we were doing.

In 2009, we moved from near Ersy's headquarters in Brooklyn to the foothills of western Maine. We enjoy living in a rural area, and having the space for our own garden.

I enjoy the process - acquiring the item, making friends with it and enjoying it a bit. Researching is so much fun! Then photographing the piece and listing it to its best advantage, but noting any flaws as well. When it sells, I get a little closure as I carefully pack the item up and pass it along to someone who will love and appreciate it.

My avatar is a painting by Charles Henry Richert of his wife on their honeymoon in circa 1900. He was my grandmother's uncle and we have a number of his works in my family. Here is my Pinterest art gallery of his work:

Frequently asked questions

Gift wrapping and packaging

Contact me at the time of order. I love packaging orders and do not charge for wrapping. Some large items are not as easy to package attractively.

Where do you obtain your items?

We source all of our items here in rural western and central Maine.

Are your items new?

Most are vintage (pre-loved). Vintage items are for those who appreciate the character and uniqueness of bygone eras. Most vintage items will show some signs of use and wear. I try hard to be complete in my descriptions and fully disclose any known flaws. Please respect the amount of my time and effort by reading my descriptions thoroughly and viewing all of the photos.

What if I have a question about an item?

We are happy to answer any questions you have about condition, quantity, or size before purchasing an item. Please convo us.

I can't see the whole item. Can you provide more pictures?

Etsy only has five slots for photos. Please contact me via convo to request more pictures.

Do you have more items?

Please contact me if you are looking for something. We may just have it, or we may be able to obtain it for you.

What if I change my mind?

Of course, you may change your mind, but in that case, you can expect to pay the shipping. In today's world, we need to see photos of any issues. The USPS requires them for any insurance claims, as well.

What kind of Money Orders do you accept?

Only US postal money orders issued by the USPS. They can be cashed when I stop in at the post office.
