Life-long Collector of vintage and antique items is ready to sell.
I have been a life-long collector of vintage and antique items - still collecting some items today; however, with a much narrower focus.
I live in the country side near Sherwood Park, Alberta, and while I reside
in the beautiful setting of a lake front home, I own a separate building across the street, my studio, dedicated for my numerous collections.
At one point it was so full of my collectibles that I could barely move around or do anything else in the building.
I decided to sell some items: at first locally and then throughout Alberta on Kijiji and Facebook Market place. While it worked, these were small markets for my unique and valuable collectibles.
Hence,
I started VintagePlusToGo on Etsy in Oct. of 2018.
* In Feb. of 2021 I had sold 66 items and had a further 86 items for sale on Etsy -
so I am very happy with my track record as to sales!
Since starting with Etsy, about 90% of all items sold where into the USA and the rest into Canada.
Additionally,
I truly enjoy my conversations with my American and Canadian customers -
whether it is for an inquiry about an item, a comment about my detailed description or historical research, or simply when they let know what an item they bought is being used for.
* Please help me further lighten my load of the many items I collected over the past 45 years throughout the Americas and Europe.
Cheers,
Van J. Konrad
Additional Information:
*** March 21, 2021
I had a major fire in my Studio building, caused by a 3rd party, where all my Collectible items where stored amounting to a total loss!
All items burnt to a crisp -
all told I lost 350 to 500 items including my Etsy stock - a big and very emotional loss for me.
* I am still trying to get over the loss as these were my life-long much treasured collections and items.
*** Sept. 10, 2021 - fast forward and I have posted the first three items on VintagePlusToGo - my Etsy site.
I am frequenting local antique stores, antique malls and often simply drive through my local countryside to look for and purchase items from retired farmers at yard sales.
I am happy to be back in business on my Etsy site - a vocal hallelujah to that!
