▲ PRODUCTION – MADE TO ORDER ▼

All the products we offer on our shop are made to order just for you and the production process starts once the order is placed & payment is cleared. Each listing gives an up-to-date estimate of the time required to make the object which is usually 1-2 weeks upon receipt of payment. Mini items ship in 3-5 business days.

► PAYMENT

We accept payment through Shopier, the secure online payment system integrated into Etsy which allows you to make a payment with a credit/debit card.

Once you've added an item to your shopping cart, navigate to your cart by clicking the cart link at the top right of any page. You can then select a shipping option from the shipping options dropdown menu located to the right of your item. Once you are ready to place an order, proceed to checkout, and then you can submit your order by clicking "Submit order" button.

Following your order placement, you will receive an email from Shopier, which is integrated into Etsy with the Etsy API for payments. You can easily proceed payment via "Pay Now" button in this email.

Once the order is paid, we will mark your order as paid manually. You can verify this step on your Purchases and reviews page (You → Purchases and reviews)

IMPORTANT: Being organized and shipping all the orders within given estimates is our priority. Due to this, we greatly appreciate if you make a payment within 24 hours of placing the order so we can add your order to our upcoming production schedule and ship it to your address timely. Please keep in mind that order leading times are calculated from the payment date, not the order date. Quick payments result in getting your item faster.

Payments can't be postponed at a later date and we don't accept late cancellation requests. If you'd like to cancel your order, please request a cancellation within 6 hours of your purchase. Thank you for your understanding!

► STANDARD SHIPPING

As an economic option, we ship orders in registered packages via Turkish Post Office's Air Mail. This service also includes a tracking number for each package which you can use to track your package from your local post office to your location. However, some countries like Australia does not provide international tracking. It is sad and breaks our hearts.

International deliveries with standard air mail may take 1-4 weeks depending on the destination country. It may take a little bit longer due to some conditions such as bad weather in winter, rush season and, holidays.

Please note that we dispatch from another side of the planet and delivery times are out of our control. Shipping times are estimates and we do not guarantee them nor make ourselves responsible for any possible delay.

✈ EXPRESS SHIPPING

We do also offer express delivery in 1-3 business days with DHL Express. Once you added an item to your cart, you can then upgrade your shipping to DHL Express by selecting "DHL Express Worldwide" option from the shipping options dropdown menu located to the right of your item. You'll able to track your parcel on www.dhl.com with the tracking number that will be given to you on your shipping notification e-mail.

Parcels that are shipped with DHL Express cannot be delivered to PO boxes or postal codes so please make sure that you are supplying a valid address for your order.

We suggest you have it delivered to a work address rather than a home address, as the couriers only deliver between 9am and 5pm, and may require a signature on receipt.

► IMPORTANT: If you decide to go with express shipping, please write your phone number in your order note or just send us a message. This information is strictly required by DHL Express for a better shipping experience. We will only use your contact information to fulfill your order. We will never share your information with third-parties.

If you don't provide a phone number before we ship your order, your order will still be shipped out with DHL but with a missing contact information. Please be informed that non-delivered shipments with no contact information may be subject to storage fees imposed by the courier company.

We will do our best to get you in touch with the courier company for a smooth shipping experience. However, due to the time constraints, we are not able to track your packages and to work with the third parties in order to make your package delivered to your address. In this case, you are responsible to track your package and schedule a delivery with the courier company.

► CUSTOMS CHARGES

As stated on our policy, you are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply at point of entry to your country and we are not able to pay for them on your behalf. Please note that import VAT is distinctly different from the local sales tax and it is not included in our prices.

EU BUYERS, please keep in mind that most EU countries have low customs threshold. Therefore, your shipment may be subject to import taxes, duties, levies and/or fees at customs imposed by your country. These fees are collected by your government –not by us nor the courier company– to help with your local services and infrastructure. About

Waen® as a Birthday Gift

We're the husband-wife duo behind Waen®, makers with backgrounds in Architecture & Psychology. We craft geometric stuff using the Tiffany stained glass technique and we are the first makers of bright copper stained glass objects.

Even in the years before we met, we have always believed in the power of creating something new and unique from scraps, instead of buying what the market offers us. After being introduced by a mutual friend, we fell in love, moved in together, and started dreaming of a less corporate and creative life that will also help us to turn our skills and interests into a lifestyle. Asli is a green thumb architect with a passion for geometry, and she thought of the idea for stained glass geometric terrariums back when I was working on my master’s thesis in neuroscience. I made her one as a birthday gift and she loved it, so Waen is born as a part of a growing movement towards owning things whose origins extended beyond an assembly line.

In time, we found out that our products also carry the rustic elegance of special wedding items, thus we specialized in making your precious moments more beautiful than it could be. Now, our product range is expanded from terrariums to lighting elements and we still look forward to find the new ways of bringing glass into your lives! To us, knowing our materials and the chemistry behind the process is the key to a perfect product. After endless experiments and months of hard work, we managed to create a trademark in the market with our rose goldish copper finish and yet we still push our limits by experimenting with different equipment and techniques.

Today, we are honored to be able to share our craft with you as one of the featured shops of Etsy, and look forward to continue bringing you beautiful, dramatic, resourceful pieces. We hope you find something you love!

How do I proceed payment?

We accept payment through Shopier, the secure online payment system which is integrated into Etsy with the Etsy API for payments and allows you to make a payment with a credit/debit card.

Once you've added an item to your shopping cart, navigate to your cart by clicking the cart link at the top right of any page. Once you are ready to place an order, proceed to checkout, and then you can submit your order by clicking "Submit order" button.

Gift wrapping and packaging

We make sure that each and every object is securely double-packaged, so it gets to you in one piece. We use lots of bubble wrap and styrofoam to immobilize the object in its original packaging and place these packages into strong cardboard boxes to prevent possible damage during transit. Multiple purchases may ship separately depending on the size & form of the items. Most items arrive in a kraft box, minimally wrapped with satin ribbon or jute.

Want to buy something to send directly to a friend in another city? No problem! Just make sure to put your friends address info as the "Ship To" address and let us know in the "Comments to Seller" section of checkout if you want us to include some kind of gift card or message.

Custom and personalized orders

We create custom orders on special requests. Describe us what you need - with clear dimensions if possible - and we'll happily handle the rest.

Most items can be made in a larger size depending on the form. However, even they're doable, we don't prefer shipping that large items internationally as large items are more prone to damage during transit. If you're after a really large piece (like 35-40 cm high or more) we recommend having made it for you locally. Or if you need something slightly larger than the original one, then you are welcome.

Care instructions

Our products are basically made of glass, solder and finishing chemicals and as of all stained glass items, they have a unique handmade touch due to the nature of the production. Wash them gently, dry the glass with microfiber swab, do not use chemicals on them. And then, wax it with a furniture or car wax for more shiny and new look.

Patina acid may react with air on different humidity levels and due to this, stained glass items require a special care to maintain the shiny and new look. Color of the item may change in time, as the air and the humidity will cause an oxidation layer on the surface, just like it happens with the wood, leather and all other natural materials. Regular waxing will help you to keep your item new & shiny.

Are your products waterproof?

Short answer: No. Our products are not waterproof just because of the nature of stained glass items – as a very little amount of water may leak under the copper foil if you fill the item with water only. Cementing is required to provide this feature and this process can only be applied on flat surfaces, not three dimensional objects.

However, this won't be a problem if you will be using your item as a planter as the soil will absorb a significant amount water. Remember, terrariums does not like much water.

We do not recommend using our vase collection with live flowers that need water. If you'd like to use them with live flowers, you may place a separate watering container inside the vase.

What happens if my order arrives in damaged condition?

Our current damage rate is 0,18%. This means that the chance of receiving your item in perfect condition is 99,82%

However, if you were hit by bad luck, all you need to do is to contact us within 24 hours with a photo of the damage incurred to your item. Once you provide a proof that the item is damaged, we’ll offer you a replacement of the product you purchased and supply you a brand new item free of charge as soon as possible.

Please note that any request made later than 24 hours & without a proof won’t be considered as an eligible request. Glass is fragile in its nature - for this reason, all damage that occurs after product is received is considered to be at the fault of the recipient.

I need my order really soon. Can you rush it?

Please keep in mind that we are a small business with a small team. We work very hard and do our best to get everyone's orders out as soon as possible; but we are not a factory, and we may not able to ship your order next day after purchase – unless the item is stocked – even if you take rush my order upgrade. We know it's hard to wait for something you're excited for, but this is part of the beauty of handmade, there are literally individual human beings crafting your item just for you!

Is it possible to speed up the shipping?
