My journey began with decades of hand-on experience working inside professional retail photography and print labs. After a career in retail and attaining higher education in business and public policy, I realize that my heart never truly left the print lab. I missed the texture of the art, the chemistry of the image and the magic of bringing visual stories to life.
Today, I create from New Bedford, Massachusetts-a historic coastal city- world renowned for its rich culture and deep, historic roots in textiles and printing on cloth.
Most pieces that I design begin with an original photograph. Using a blend of traditional film and digital imagery, I capture the unique textures, vibrant colors, and hidden symmetry found here in my neighborhood and city.
Instead of leaving these images trapped on a screen, I translate them into wearable art and textile designs. By pairing my decades of print-industry expertise with modern production, I carefully scale each photograph onto premium swimwear, apparel and home goods.
