Letterboxing meets Babywearing
Comencé a tallar sellos en 2015 cuando descubrí un juego de búsqueda del tesoro llamado Letterboxing. Combinaba perfectamente mi amor por el senderismo y el aire libre con mi amor por trabajar con mis manos y el arte. En poco tiempo, tuve la idea de tallar recuerdos para mis amigos, imágenes de ellos "usando" a sus bebés en portabebés. La diversión radicaba en convertir una toma de teléfono celular a veces granulada en una imagen hermosa y clara: el momento era importante para ellos, pero la imagen del teléfono celular era de baja calidad. También me encanta dibujar ideas de mi propia cabeza, o tomar fotos que dibujan mis hijos y verlas cobrar vida mientras tallo capas de sello para ver el producto final.

I started carving stamps in 2015 when I discovered a treasure hunt game called Letterboxing. It perfectly combined my love of hiking and the outdoors with my love of working with my hands and art. Before long, I had the idea to carve mementos for my friends--images of them “wearing” their babies in carriers. The fun lay in turning a sometimes a grainy cell phone shot into a beautiful, clear picture: the moment was important to them, but the cell phone image was low-quality. I also love drawing ideas from my own head, or taking pictures my kids draw and seeing them come to life as I carve away layers of stamp to see the final product.
I'm working on getting more in stock and semi-custom items, such as cards, bookplates with your name, and other cool ideas.
