Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Digital downloads
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
Windloft Workshop accepts returns, replacements or exchanges (for same item) only for damaged or defective items. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. For items that need to be returned, the item must be returned in its original condition, with all original packaging intact, for an exchange or full refund of the item cost (minus original shipping). If the item is returned damaged, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value (the loss of value will be deducted from your refund).
Payment
Payment in full via Etsy's Direct Checkout must be received prior to your order being prepared and shipped.

SALES TAX INFO

Canadian residents: For physical products, your provincial rate of GST/HST will be added by Etsy at checkout. For digital downloads, your province's GST/HST will either be included in the price (for colouring pages, pattern booklets, ebook, etc.), or will be charged by Etsy at checkout (for royalty-free artwork downloads).

BC residents: For physical products, Etsy will additionally apply 7% PST to your purchase at checkout. Many digital products sold by Windloft Workshop are exempt from PST (colouring pages, pattern booklets, ebooks and other non-user-editable files) and are not charged PST. Royalty-free artwork downloads and templates, however, are subject to PST, and will be charged at checkout at a rate of 7%.

For EU customers: Windloft Workshop does not charge, collect or remit any VAT taxes on your behalf for your purchases. For physical products, you are responsible for paying any VAT tax due upon arrival of your shipment at the border. For digital downloads, Etsy will charge you VAT at checkout.
Delivery
SHIPPING DETAILS

Shipping includes postage, handling, as well as any applicable taxes.

For all ready-made orders, I ship approximately twice a week via Canada Post in suitable packaging to protect your purchases. I usually automatically include tracking and insurance with shipping, however there are some products/listings for which it's optional. The listing will indicate this in the description if this is the case, and you'll be presented with an add-on option during checkout. I highly recommend opting for tracking and insurance for all purchases.

If tracking is included in your purchase, your tracking number will be provided to you upon shipment of your package(s).

If there's ever any problem with a damaged purchased due to shipping issues, please take photos of the damage and get in touch at michelle [!at] windloftworkshop.com so I can help you sort it out with the postal service.

For art print shipments coming from my production partners, please allow up to 4-10 days for production of your made-to-order print prior to shipping. The listing will indicate if it's being shipped from a production partner, and will have a longer lead time for processing/production.

I will not declare packages as a gift, or at any value other than their actual selling price (plus shipping) on customs forms.

For international customers: please allow for potential delays at the border. Windloft Workshop does not charge, collect or remit any taxes, customs fees or duties on your behalf. You are responsible for paying to your local customs office any taxes or cross-border fees that may be required to permit entry of your package(s) to your country.

This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

INFORMATION I COLLECT
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a customized or personalized product, for example), if you contact me directly.

WHY I NEED YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW I USE IT
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Information about my customers is important to my business. I do not sell or lease your personal information, but may share your personal information for business purposes, for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
• With Etsy: I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
• With other service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties (dropshippers, postage and delivery services, payment processors) to perform functions and provide services to my shop and my customers. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

DATA RETENTION
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years (to comply with income and sales tax record-keeping for the Canada Revenue Agency and BC Ministry of Finance).

TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE THE EU
I reside and operate my business within Canada. I may store and process your information through third-party hosting and other services in Canada, the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Comodo Secure (and other reputable certificates) as the legal basis for the transfer.

YOUR RIGHTS

In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
