This is the sweetest little chubby chickadee! The colors -- black to brownish tans, to white -- are spot-on, and the detail work in the shading, the feather-like carving in the wings and tail, the bright little life-like eyes, etc., is exceptional! The chickadee is round, and sturdy, and just feels good in my hand. And Jocelyn is a pleasure to Etsy with -- she reached out to me after my purchase to let me know its status, packaged my order safely and attractively, and shipped it super quickly. We just got a new chocolate lab puppy and when I saw this little clay sculpture, I thought it was so cute and unique. I placed my order and was contacted by the shop owner, Jocelyn, she was asking about the name (which I completely forgot to put in the order). I told her the name and then decided to ask her if she had any black lab sculptures (we also have a 2-1/2-year-old black lab). Jocelyn stated that she would just make one. I was so excited! We discussed this one being more of an adult looking dog but very similar in style. So, Jocelyn made one (very quickly) and sent me pictures so that I could make any adjustments or requests for it. I loved it! Then she very quickly mailed both out to me. It was great! Start to finish Jocelyn was full service and I am extremely happy with my 2 little clay sculptures.
