Infographics, Music and Art, oh my.
Every album has a story worth seeing.
bopdb is a music art project built around one idea: the records that shaped culture deserve more than liner notes. Each print starts as a hand-drawn infographic, researched, lettered, and illustrated by hand. Packed with the kind of detail that rewards a long look. Album timelines. Musician breakdowns. Recording context. Historical footnotes. All of it drawn with ink on paper before it ever becomes a poster on your wall.
The art covers all genres. Jazz, rock, blues, soul, hip hop. If it matters to music history, it's fair game. Current releases include pieces from the 1959 Series, a deep dive into five landmark jazz albums that changed everything in a single year.
About the prints
Each design is printed on premium matte paper at gallery quality. Files are drawn at large format and reproduced at high resolution, the detail holds up close.
About the process
The work is made the slow way. Layout in pencil, line work in ink, lettering by hand. No shortcuts. Just am artist who got obsessed with music history and started drawing it.
If you're a music fan who also loves a wall that tells a story, you're in the right place.
