With a BFA from Parsons in New York and Paris, I am a professional artist with sketch books filled to overflowing with a decades worth of painting and sculpture Chubby Art ideas. One night as I lay in bed trying to fall asleep I kept churning over how sad it was that once I made a painting from a sketch it was the end of that story.
Smiles and laughter are what I love most about my work and I don't want that to end. I want the story to continue and the fun to be forever enjoyed. How to do that? I wondered. Then, Bing, just like a giant lightbulb going off over my head, I thought, Adult Colouring Books!
Well, I could forget sleeping - Ever! Quick as wink I've been taking my old drawings out of my sketch books, cleaning them up and putting them together in colouring books and I am having sooooo much fun doing it! I love the laughter that I hear in the comments from those who choose to colour. But even more than that I love the sharing of stories, the new friends and bonds that have been forged over crayons and coloured pencils!
