Cortney spends most of her time in her small art studio in rural NB and is often covered in clay, paint and glue.
Originally from Maine, she now resides in Canada with her husband, three children and two silly black labs. After earning her BFA from the University of Maine, she spent several years searching for the right medium and settled on polymer clay.
Her inspirations are found in nature and her beautiful northern surroundings. She loves to sculpt whimsical versions of tiny insects, acorns, leaves and faeries. All of her creations are original designs and are made without moulds. She uses white polymer clay, sculpts and cure it. She then paints her pieces with acrylic paint, seals and antiques them.

5 out of 5 starsThis home ornament was a gift and they loved it! Post was very slow but that's not Cortney's fault! Fortunately, she made it quickly and it arrived before Christmas.

5 out of 5 starsCortney did an amazing job at painting our new home in a winter scene. It will be an ornament we keep forever. Unfortunately, there was a small typo in our name on the ornament, but it isn’t too noticeable against the backdrop of the house. Truly beautiful.

Fun and Whimsical Folk Art for Every Holiday & Season!
Hi! I'm Cortney and the mother of three great kids. In 2007 my twin sister and I launched our first Etsy shop to sell our art. We had folk art sculptures, paintings, pottery and prints all for sale in one shop. Over the years we've refined things and I've decided to start my own shop to sell my holiday art here on my own.
I create all of my pieces from polymer clay and like to focus on holiday pieces. I wish every day was a holiday! I spend most of my time in my home studio covered in clay, paint, glitter and glue. Originally from Maine, I now reside in western New Brunswick, Canada with my husband, three kids and silly black labs, Hudson and Bailey.
I'm thrilled to have been published in several magazines including: Brides, Holidays & Celebrations, Art Doll Quarterly, Prims, Parenting, FOLK and Better Homes and Garden's "Holiday Crafts" magazine.
I also have a fun shop where I sell wedding cake toppers called cortneyrectorWEDDING.etsy.com
