Hello, welcome to Envy Designs Jewelry. I make heirloom quality One Of A Kind gemstone, pearl and silver jewelry, featuring recycled fine silver, sterling silver, 14k and 18k solid gold, 14k gold fill, & 24k gold vermeil. I hope you find something to make you feel beautiful!
Every piece is truly one of a kind and made with love.
All jewelry is designed and hand crafted by me using only the best gemstones and pearls, as well as the precious metals mentioned above.
I am a senior certifying instructor for Art Clay World USA and make custom jewelry from metal clay (an eco friendly recycled product), including fine silver (.999), enriched sterling silver or Britannia silver (.960), sterling silver (.925), copper and bronze, and now 22k gold as well. Please contact me if you have any questions, or would like a custom item. The silver is reclaimed from several sources, but mostly from recycled 35mm film, and industrial use. No strip mining involved :)

I love making one of a kind jewelry for people. Everyone's unique, so their jewelry should be as well
When I was 8, I thought I wanted to be a geologist. Then my mom told me that as a geologist, I would have to study all rocks and earth and clay, as well as gemstones. Well, as I was only really obsessed with gemstones, that was out.
I remember vividly, after seeing a photo of Watermelon Tourmaline in a gemstone book, falling in love with earths creation! So began my journey into the world of gemstones and jewelry.
Years later, in high school, a friend and I decided that since we could not afford to buy the jewelry we wanted, we could and would make it ourselves. My mom had made beaded jewelry in college, including navajo and peyote stitch, so she showed me some techniques, and off we went.
As I was also someone who had metal allergies, I decided from the very beginning, to work only with Sterling silver or better.
Envy Designs jewelry was created in 2003, with me and my best friend creating sterling silver, gemstone, Swarovski crystal and chain jewelry, for friends and relatives. I decided to make a business out of it in 2006. I started selling on Etsy in 2010
My jewelry has evolved over the years to include the best gemstones and precious metals, and has been further enhanced by my discovery of the most awesome material ever, precious metal clay (ArtClay). This fine silver (.999) medium truly lends itself to a one of a kind ideal.
I love working with the clay, and figuring out ways to do things, that would take twice the materials to make with traditional silversmithing methods. I love the organic feel and look of the product as well.
I am a member of Etsy for Animals, a team that regularly donates to charities that help both domestic and wild animals. I donate a minimum of 10% of my shop sales on top of being a Wildlife Guardian with Defenders of Wildlife, my favorite charity. Thank you for helping me help the animals.

Care of pearls:
Please note: Pearls are delicate and need to breath and have light. Do not store in sealed plastic or opaque bags. The rule of thumb for pearl jewelry is, put your pearls on last before going out, take them off first when you come home at the end of your day. Pearls should be cleaned only with mild soap and water and dried with a soft cloth. Silver can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth. Please do not wear pearls to do your everyday house cleaning, gardening and other chores to maintain the beauty of your pearl, please remove before using any chemicals.
* The pearls that are listed as 'Kasumi like' are called so because they are made by innovative Chinese pearl farmers to very closely resemble the famous Japanese Kasumi pearls from Lake Kasumigaura, that sell for $300 to $500 each! They feature very high luster and great natural colors that seem to 'make up' for the fact that nature made them less than perfect, ex. their wrinkle or baroque surfaces. I personally prefer these to their 'perfect' cousins.

Returns and exchanges
There are no returns or exchanges on custom or personalized items.
There are no returns on Layaway purchases.
Payment
Layaway is available. Please contact me before purchase to set up separate listings. A maximum of 4 payments payed at least every other week is the preferred set up. We can work out other arrangements as well.
There are no refunds/returns on layaway items. Exchanges are accepted with in 2 weeks of delivery, as long as the original item is returned to me in it's original form. Thank you!
Shipping
Please let me know before you purchase, if you would like to upgrade to overnight shipping. I will only charge you what I am charged.
For INTERNATIONAL customers:
USPS Priority mail states that it takes anywhere from 8 to 12 business days, depending on your country of residence. I have discovered that it usually takes around 3-4 weeks, and sometimes a little longer. Customs usually holds this up. I include insurance for international shipments with this option..
If you would like a less expensive option, like First Class International mail, please convo me about it. Be aware that the time on this option is anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks and does not include insurance. This option is not available for all countries.
If you would like to upgrade to global express, please convo me first to upgrade the shipping cost. It is usually about $15 more than I have listed.
I also need to state that international customers are responsible for all custom duties or tariffs as stipulated by their country, and that even if you upgrade your shipping, Customs may still keep your item from being delivered in a timely manner, Please understand I have no control over this. Also, I always list the correct $ amount on the customs forms, as insurance will only pay out what is claimed, and more importantly, it is not legal to do otherwise. Thank you for understanding.

Do you include VAT or GST like Etsy has stated?
No,
PLEASE NOTE: Etsy is now adding the text "VAT included (where applicable)" and "GST included (where applicable)." As a small US seller, I am not registered to collect taxes in other countries, so for the items in my shop, it's not "applicable" for me to charge/include tax. Therefore, the customer is responsible for paying all taxes/duties/fees, etc. that their country charges.
