The idea to start selling drawings came after I lost my job during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Drawing has always been my hobby, and the free time in isolation was fertile ground to revisit it.

I had taken a three year break from serious drawing. My interest in it developed during my years as a university student. Since then, dotted drawings have become a passion: it is really thrilling to experience the process of building up images dot-by-dot using 0.05, 0.10, and 0.25 lining pens. I highly recommend it. It's not hard, but it takes time. Architectural scenes and close ups of plants are personal favorite subjects.

The monotony of the process - stretching hours on end - is an invitation to think, laugh, and cringe at the past and dream a bit of the future. As such, dotting has been helpful for me in coping with the uncertainty of the current time.

Given the lack of clarity regarding employment in the future, it made sense to start capitalizing on my hobby. I hope the drawings I will be uploading onto Etsy will give their future owners as much joy as that which went into making them.
