We specialize in the creation and smoking of fine meats and cheeses.
Heathen Smokehouse was opened in Victoria, BC Canada in 2021 by Chef Colin Stann. Chef Colin has been in the business of cooking since 1994, working in various restaurants over the years and has overseen a number of kitchens and their staff. In 2001 Colin left the cooking business and became a Provincial, then Federal Correctional officer. Over his 20-year career as a CO, he developed severe PTSD and began to use smoking meats and cheeses as a way to therapeutically manage his mental health. Since then, he has had success with his products. He is working out of his home pouring his heart into every thing he makes.
His products are developed and smoked with the finest ingredients Vancouver Island has to offer in an attempt to provide a quality, sustainable, farm to table experience.
