The Artist
My name is Karen, I am a creative soul, wife and mother. I am also the owner and designer behind Ink and Dirt Designs. I love structure, order, simplicity and that is an obvious influence on my creations. All my prints are designed, printed and packaged by me in my studio in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

The Name
Every spare moment I have you will find me with a pen doodling, painting, creating cards, invitations or working on the occasional landscape design project. So naturally, from a pen with ink, to a pile of dirt, that is where Ink and Dirt Designs was born.

The Prints
What I enjoy most about creating my typography prints is creating pieces that feel personal, that touch peoples heart and tell their stories. That is ultimately the driving inspiration of Ink and Dirt Designs. To capture the special moments in your life, the celebrations, the milestones and even those moments where you might need some extra encouragement and turn them into visually impactful art using words.
