5 out of 5 starsPattern was delivered immediately after ordering. The instructions were clear, and the illustrations were excellent. My block finished slightly smaller than described (1/4" narrower and 3/4" shorter). That could be due to a difference in seam allowance. Overall the block was fun and fairly easy to do.

5 out of 5 starsI love this pattern! Easy download. The pattern is very detailed, and I love how it makes the leaves a bit 3-dimensional. I look forward to making this pattern, in purples! And maybe blues and greens. . I'm not a red/orange/yellow lover. But who says you can't make leaves any color that you want! Thank you for the pattern!

Not Your Grandmother's Quilts
I started quilting in the year 2000. My millennium resolution was to use up all of those bits of fabric left over from sewing my kids' clothes. I made over fifty gift bags that year, and decided to decorate some of them with applique. Well, the applique books are in the quilting section of the library, and I was soon hooked. Of course I now own more fabric than I ever did while sewing kids clothes!
I have been designing almost as long as I have been quilting. I am always analyzing quilts, looking at different methods of construction or colouring. I enjoy the analysis far more than the actual construction. At my son's suggestion, I opened my Etsy shop in 2011 in order to share my designs with other quilters.
I currently have three different types of patterns – folded back bias curved edges, geometrics using “grout”, and tessellations. So far I have not incorporated appliqué or curved piecing into these patterns, but we will have to see what the future holds. I always have more ideas than I have the time to develop.
My designs are contemporary rather than traditional, but I think there is room for both in the quilting world.

I love to design! I am a much better starter than finisher, and that is what design is all about. I actually have to finish what I start in order to showcase my designs, otherwise nothing would get done.
