Luheart it´s a Metal Embossing Project made in aluminum, a technique also known as "repujado". It looks to explore, emphasize, and express part of the popular Mexican culture taking as a fundamental element the Mexican Hearts (Handcraft from Oaxaca) an icon of the Mexican Folklore.

This project comes to life from the passion and great love that I have for the country that birth me, Mexico. It´s a country with a lot of popular history, traditions, gastronomy, crafts, colour, in a few words: a lot of folklore. It´s something that not only wonders who are around it, it’s also for all of those who love to walk on its beautiful land.

Its art inspired my work as a graphic designer and illustrator since a long time ago so I decided that it was time to create a specific project with a theme that would let me explore further into my creativity.

That´s the reason why the Mexican Hearts (one of my favourites handcrafts) becomes the main element for Luheart, not only because of its unique beauty but also because of its meaning (they are considered as miracles)

I would be lying to say that my designs are only and exclusively inspired by Mexican folklore, I’m sure that you´ll find in some of them some other elements and aesthetics that I have.
