About

Handmade jewellery & gifts for knitters, crafters and makers

It all began when I learnt to knit in 2005. Two years later I was completely in love with all yarn based crafts. I wanted to wear knitwear all the time just to show my love of wool. This wasn't always possible so I designed a pair of earrings made from a ball of yarn and a tiny pair of knitting needles. Then I wanted them in more colours and soon I had an entire range of jewellery for knitters which I started selling on Etsy in 2009. This range has continued wo be popular and I sell to a number of knitting and gift shops worldwide.

In 2011 I made the knitted knitting octopus. He was featured across many craft blogs and there were lots of requests for the pattern. That was very popular and I have since been knitting and planning more patterns.

I also make knitted sculptures and knitted stop motion animations (knitimations). In 2014 I started knitting moths. I base each one on a different species and try to be as accurate as possible. I exhibited my first collection of moths in London at Prick Your Finger in November 2014. I have since carried on knitting moths and they have become more and more intricate.

In May 2015 I helped run a 12 hour knitting event at the Grant Museum of Zoology. We spent all day studying and knitting specimens from their extensive collection of creatures.

I love knitting and designing objects based on unusual creatures. I use British Wool in all my designs and enjoy playing with the texture and colours.
