About

Just can't stop creating!

When I was a little girl, I was not a finisher. By "not a finisher", I mean that I would start lots of projects but never finish them. When I was about 8 years old, my Mum told me that if I finished the rug hooking I was working on, she would buy me a ball of yarn for Christmas that year. Christmas was months away and I was sure I could do this!

I did finish that rug hooking (a dog picture that we later made into a wall hanging for the basement play room, if I remember right) and, sure enough, I got a beautiful ball of pink baby yarn for Christmas. In my mind, that yarn is the most gorgeous shade of pink you can imagine - I think I just loved it that much.

I went on to knit a dress, a pair of shorts, a top, and a hat for my Barbie doll - I was officially addicted!

A year or two later, my Mum taught me to crochet and I made a whole bag full of granny squares. Sadly, that bag of squares was stashed away (I still wasn't much of a finisher!) and then lost when I moved to my apartment as a young adult. I like to think I accidentally donated it to a charity and it was eventually made into a blanket that someone is loving.

At some point, after making countless items from wonderful patterns from my Mum's collection, I began designing my own patterns. This, for me, is pure creative bliss!

I'm sure you've noticed by now that my Mum was a huge influence on me, creatively. She always claims that she isn't creative, that she always needs a pattern. But, in my memory, she was part of the driving force of my creativity. She gave me the skills to do what I do.

I wouldn't be where I am today without three other people - my Dad, my sister, and my husband. My Dad told me I could do anything I wanted to, and I believed him. My sister is possibly my number one cheerleader and my husband makes it all possible.

And the last person that makes it all possible is you! A big thank you to my customers who have said such wonderful things about my patterns and posted amazing pictures of their finished items. I really couldn't do any of it without you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my patterns! I hope you enjoy them as much as I like making them!

My yarn brand, Moca Cotton, is a wonderful fingering weight stranded cotton. It is great for shawls, scarves, hats, sweaters, tablecloths, dishcloths, and anything else you would normally make from cotton. It is soft with wonderful drape!

Returns and exchanges
I don't accept returns, exchanges or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
If you are unhappy with your pattern or yarn purchases, please let me know. Unfortunately, I can't accept returns on yarn because it is made in my smoke-free home and it would be impossible to have it returned in as-new condition so that I could resell it. Colours of yarn are as accurate as possible but may vary due to differences in monitors.

Due to the nature of digital items, I don't offer refunds on patterns.

Please note that colours are as accurate as possible but monitors differ in their representation of colour.
Payment
You can pay for your purchase using Paypal. You can also pay, through Paypal, using a credit card - you don't need a Paypal account to do this.
Shipping
All patterns are instant download - no waiting!

New! Flat rate shipping in Canada and in the United States!! That means you can add as much yarn to your cart as you want and the shipping charge will not increase! Shipping within Canada and the United States incudes tracking.

Yarn purchases will usually ship within 5 days of payment clearing. Custom orders may take longer. Shipment is made using Canada Post which takes about a week within Canada and 1-5 weeks (usually under 2 weeks) to the United States. International shipping (outside of Canada and the United States) from Canada takes 10-12 weeks and does not include tracking. I am not responsible for lost packages shipped outside Canada and the United States. Shipping times cannot be guaranteed and any customs charges are your responsibility.

Purchases shipped to the US and Canada include tracking. If you would like to reduce your shipping fees and not have your package tracked, please contact me. If you choose to do this, I am not responsible if your package is lost.

Yarn purchases shipped outside of the United States and Canada are shipped via surface mail and are not tracked and can take 12 weeks to arrive - I am not responsible for lost packages. I do sincerely apologize for this but the tracked package shipping rate for one yarn cake, outside of the US and Canada, is almost CAD$50! Shipping outside of Canada and the United States can take 10-12 weeks and is not tracked. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Additional policies and FAQs
All yarn is made in my smoke-free, pet-friendly home (I have a tiny Toy Teddy Morkie who is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. She is also not allowed anywhere near the yarn!).

FAQ's:

1. Are the shipping costs accurate?

New!! Flat rate shipping in Canada and in the United States!! That means you can add as much yarn to your cart as you want and the shipping charge will not increase! Shipping within Canada and the United States incudes tracking.

I am located in Ontario - if you live close to me, your shipping cost may still show as too high, even with the flat rate. If your shipping charge is more than CA$2 too high, I will put a shipping refund through for you after I ship.

Please do ask if you have any questions!

2. Do you offer coupon codes or have sales?

I try to keep my prices fair all the time and so I don't offer coupon codes or have sales. If you are waiting for a sale (for example, for a holiday time or Black Friday), please don't 🙂 I am one person happily winding yarn in my sewing and yarn room and if you wait too close to the holidays, I may not be able to make what you want in time to ship to you - and I want every boy and girl to get what they want! ❤️ I can usually make any previous or current colourway in any size but may not be able to closer to the holidays.

3. Do you make custom colourways?

As a general rule, I don't make custom colourways. If it's just, "I would rather have black at the end of Cosmic than grey", I can usually do that sort of thing. I can, however, usually make any previous or existing colourway in any of my sizes so please do ask about that! I can also make any colourway in reverse as well as beginning or end of colourway cakes.

3. Do you make your yarn in other weights (lace, dk, or worsted)?

Lace: Any colourway can be made into a lace weight yarn. Lace weight is 2-stranded and because of this, there will be more solid-coloured sections in your cake. Please ask if you would like something made in lace weight!

DK: Any fingering weight yarn (4-stranded) can be made into a dk weight yarn (5-stranded). I do this by adding a single solid strand to the fingering weight yarn. This process is for the adventurous at heart because you won't know quite what it will look like until you stitch it up 😀 But it's super fun - please ask if you would like dk weight (a few are usually listed in the shop, too).

Worsted: Any fingering weight colourway (4-stranded) can be made into a worsted weight yarn. Worsted weight yarn is 8-stranded. People (inlcuding me) find it about the same to work with as the fingering weight. Please ask if you would like a colourway made into worsted weight!

4. Can I sell items made from your patterns?

You can make as many items for charity or for personal from my patterns as you would like. You can also sell any finished items from my patterns, no exceptions, no need to contact me! Just please don't resell my actual patterns :)

Thanks & happy stitching!
