  • I attend lots of shows in a year; from anime/comic conventions to art and craft shows.
  • anything with branding from a different company is being re-used; from bubble mailers, to cardboard and more.
  • Although most of my work is rendered digitally, I ALWAYS sketch and play around with traditional media first.
  • Here is a picture of myself and my 16 year old cat assistant Mr. Pounce. He likes to manage my time.
  • Most of my shop prep/drawing is done while having the TV show 'Friends' on, or an animated show/movie for inspiration.

I try to create little worlds or stories with my items. Something that inspires the mind and sends the viewer on an adventure of some sort.

Michelle Simpson is a professional freelance Illustrator / Designer. She Graduated from Sheridan College with a BAA in Illustration. Most of her inspiration comes from nature, mythology and folklore.
