"First we must clear our minds of distracting thoughts..." -Basil Greywind
Illuminated by a single flickering candle, under the radiance of two glowing moons, she quietly sat upon the dirt, scattering a circle of herbs about her. Suddenly the leaves began to rustle.
Branches creak in the autumn breeze. Eyes of green appear in the leaves. Wooden footsteps beyond the path. Trespassers incur Dawnblossom’s wrath. Her sisters grove to protect, the dryad’s presence you will not expect.

About

My story

Exploring the magic and mystery of nature, I paint the story of two adventurers travelling through an enchanted forest of strange woodland creatures.

I have always been drawn to nature, to the plants and to the trees. The appearance of woodgrain has a spiritual quality to me. Using it's natural forms and imperfections to bring life and magic to my drawings, the image lives in harmony within the wood. Delicate ink drawings are tinted with transparent washes of oil paint on birchwood to create an airy quiet style.

These illustrative tales stem from a story my companion and I are writing together, some events lived, others more like visions that may be.
