5 out of 5 starsI got these to wear at my office because they keep it so cold and I am always freezing. I am so glad I did! They are really soft and comfortable and shockingly warm for how thin they are.

5 out of 5 starsSo comfortable, I wear these at night to treat my eczema. I wear them over irritated areas after applying cream. It keeps me from getting it on my bedding and prevents me from touching the affected areas. They are so soft and fit well. Thank you

5 out of 5 starsI adore these wrist warmers. I have Raynaud's, and they're perfect for keeping the chill at bay while still allowing me to type.

About qualicumclothworks

This is my retail shop area.

This is the front of my workshop. It's a short commute from my house.
My story as written by Lissa Alexander of Oasis Magazine.
"Roxanne Rose-Bouchard also likes to use many natural fibers in the clothing that she makes in her studio in Qualicum Bay. She has been designing and making clothing and accessories from that studio for 22 years. Her company is called Qualicum Clothworks and she prides herself on creating things that make women not only look, but feel beautiful.
“I love taking a flat piece of material and making it into a beautiful shape that flatters women of all sizes, not just models,” she says. Lining the edges of her studio workspace are rows upon rows of cut paper patterns that she’s created over the years. Her sewing machines are surrounded by stacks of coloured thread and hand carved blocks used for hand-printing the designs onto the fabrics.
Rose-Bouchard entered into fashion in an unconventional way—she made clothing for male exotic dancers in Vancouver.
“I had a friend who was a Dolly Parton look-alike and I made things for her and it just grew from there,” she says.
She decided to go back to school and completed a degree in fashion design at Kwantlen College (now a university) before moving to Qualicum Bay to set up her studio.
Rose-Bouchard began making women’s and children’s clothing and sold them in Qualicum Beach. Soon she got an agent in Vancouver and before she knew it she was selling her clothing in boutiques around Canada as well as in the Images of Canada catalogue.
But things changed around five years ago when the economy crashed, she explains. More big box stores started popping up and she was dealing with other personal issues. Today Rose-Bouchard sells her clothing from her home studio, from local markets and fromOceanside Village Artists’ Gallery at Oceanside Village Resort on Resort Drive in Parksville. She often uses bamboo for her blouses, tunics and dresses and hand-prints eye-catching designs onto the fabric like First Nations’ animal symbols and ancient petroglyphs. She also makes tie-dyed maxi skirts, sweaters, hair bands and scarves.
Rose-Bouchard said it’s still hard for local fashion designers to compete with big box stores in nearby cities, but she maintains that local clothing-makers can offer something unique that people won’t find at those larger stores."

Delivery
Most single items are shipped in envelopes or small packets to save on shipping costs. This method has no tracking number. The post office estimates 5 to 13 business days in Canada or the USA, but it can frequently take a bit longer (especially at Christmas time).
If you would like tracking or a faster shipping method, there are additional shipping options available when items are in your cart.
If you do not purchase optional tracking with small purchases, I cannot track the item for you. While this rarely happens, I cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or delayed in the mail if shipping upgrades are not purchased.
Larger items or multiple items are usually shipped as tracked package.
Actual shipping costs can be a bit tricky, so rest assured I will refund shipping overages that are over $2.
If you have purchased multiple items and the shipping charges are too high, I will refund the difference. Estimating shipping costs on multiples is a tricky thing!!
International shoppers:
Please be aware of regulations in your own country including any taxes or duties that may be charged. I am not responsible for this. Do not ask me to mark the value on the customs form as $0 because it is a gift or otherwise. Here is a quote from the Etsy seller's handbook: "Never mark your items as a "gift" — this could land you in hot water with the customs authorities!"
