Hello Everyone!

My name is Brittany and I am the artist behind The Finer Things Studio.

Welcome!

I have always had the heart of an artist and a passion for creating. Much like present day Brittany, you could always find me drawing or painting. My style has shifted and matured over the years bringing me to a place where I can work with both graphite and watercolour.

I love custom portraits and one-of-a-kind works so you will find a lot of original pieces here. I believe handmade items are extremely special. There is a lot of work and care that goes into creating them. So as a maker and someone who appreciates the small details of handmade items, I take great pride in creating art that is extra special, art that is a treasured keepsake, art that is just for you!

Nature inspires me most. When I am not working on custom portraits, you will find me bringing to life birds, botanical blooms and the occasional landscape. Colour, texture and Nature's unique patterns are my favourite things to watch for. There is always something beautiful to see when you step outside!

I studied Fine Arts at the Alberta College of Art and Design and graduated in 2010 with a BFA in painting. I reside in Regina, Saskatchewan with my family and our three furry companions. When I am not creating art you will find me outside working in our garden, running after our two busy kiddos and finding little moments to sit and sip coffee or wine (depending on time of day!)
