What exactly is Tuqozy (too-cozy)?? What does it mean? Up here in Canada we call knit hats a Tuque or Toque plus cozy =Tuqozy . You can never be too cozy!!

It all started not too long ago when I was planning on meeting up with some fellow adventurers to hike and camp in Glacier National Park. I wanted to do something for everyone that represented Canada and what better than a Tuque for those cold mornings and evening campfires! With many hours of practice (oh how I wish I saved my first beanie!) I had about 20 beanies made and ready to go. I was addicted right away and just kept making hats. Friends started asking me to make things for them and Tuqozy came in 2016.

Tuqozy products are made with soft, cozy yarns and are all wool free. I strive to keep the designs simple and use mostly neutral colors as well as verigated yarn for a little fun! Custom orders are always welcome.

I am a huge fan of giving back. Tuqozy has given me the means to be able to do so. I made the choice in 2018 to no longer use any yarn that comes from sheep, alpaca or any other animal. Everything is animal free. 10% of all sales is donated to animal rescue and/or farm sanctuaries.

Travel and the outdoors are a huge passion of mine. If I am not at home in Canada you will most likely find me hiking in Utah or on some mountain trail. I encourage all my customers to take photos in their Tuqozy hats when outdoors on your own adventures. Welcome to the tribe! #tuqozytribe
