In 2013, iSkelter was started with borrowed space - in a small corner, of someone else’s shop. It was just a few of us. We were novices and quite green at the time but each of us carried the same fire, passion, and drive. Back then, we were always experimenting. It felt like we were blue collar scientists, working in our carpentry lab. The techniques we were perfecting didn’t come with an instruction manual so there were many uphill battles and knowledge to be learned.

After a year of hard work, we created a top selling product on Etsy and Amazon. We could finally afford our own space. This was our "first real win" and it was now nearing the end of 2013.

It was a very happy time for iSkelter. We made a promise to each other, our customers, and the world. We committed to be the team that cared, even if it wasn’t always easy. Soon after, we changed our slogan to “Hand-Built In America By People Who Give A Damn”. The next two years proved successful. As sales continued to grow, our followers did too and we were creating products based on feedback from our customers. We promise, none of us thought we would grow up creating products, especially not for thousands of people around the world. It was a gift, and we weren't going to take it for granted.

If you have or will be ordering something we have made, we thank you. You are the reason we wake up everyday, pour ourselves a cup of coffee, and roll up our sleeves for work. With every product we ship, we include a band that says “I Give A Damn”. Please wear it as a reminder to care, don’t cut corners, and to do your best.
