My name is Anna and I am a designer by trade and you’ll find me noodling over mid-century pieces or trying to blend Scandinavian design with the textures found in old cottages. And it’s these designs that, over a homemade latte, are hatched out.
The fuzzy one is John, my awesome woodworker husband who never seems to stop. Blink, and you’ll miss him. When he’s making boats or furniture, the shop floor is always littered with odd little bits of wood, but rather than pitch it all he diligently collects every scrap of wood and speck of dust out of love for each board. The other thing he loves is a good challenge. Show him a new project idea and you are met with attention. Add a challenge like, “do it all out of scrap” and you are met with pure joy.
So out of love of clever design, a good challenge, and using the whole board comes CastOfferings; a blend of a little cottage modern and workshop ingenuity.
